I have been an expatriate most of my life, I could say, since I was born. I’ve lived and worked in different countries in Europe and Africa and I am living now in the Netherlands for eight years with my wonderful daughter. I learned a lot about people and to certain extend my life experience, together with my passion for psychology, philosophy and sociology formed the basis for my current work as a counsellor.
My experiences as a human being in different parts of the world and the different challenges I had to face in my own life has given me the opportunity to observe and experience different realities, different worlds and a have a broad perspective on life.
There were moments were I found that the pain was almost unbearable and moments where I was ecstatic with love and joy. My belief is that genuine lasting happiness is not easy to find because it’s a “working” in progress within you, it’s a process of discovering your REAL SELF. I also found out that every second of the day I can choose how I will fulfil my life and how I want to relate to other people.
My work experience comes from working in various multinational organizations where I was involved with people management, recruiting, training, career development, coaching and more recently counselling. In addition to my psychology studies, counselling/coaching training, and a variety of courses and training programmes in other fields, I have studied social sciences, communication and business economics.
